Destroying the Faith From The Inside Out
I feel I should draw the attention of readers to the evil going on with the introduction of various Bible versions in the last fifty or so years. What you are likely to have heard or read is that these new versions were introduced to help [sgmb id=”1″]readers understand the intent of God much more clearly.
The wordings of the King James Version were said to be too archaic for the average person to readily understand. The closer you look at these new versions, however, the more questions arise in your mind. This little work, which I must warn, is by no means exhaustive, was done to help Christians navigate the maze of confusion and errors in the new versions.
In this short study, we shall use the King James Version (KJV or KJB) of the Bible as the reference version. One thing every reader must not fail to notice in almost every one of the differences we are going to highlight between the KJV and these modern translations of the Bible is the strenuous efforts the translators put into hiding the identities of two personalities: the Christ and the antichrist.
The American Standard Version Bible, 1901
It is important we start the discussion on the reliability of the various Bible versions now on the market by referring to the American Standard Version,1881 to 1901 edition. This is the first of the various new versions of the Bible. The footnote at page 114 on John 9:38 of ASV is very instructive as it marks the beginning of the works of various other translators since that time. The King James Version, in John 9:38 reads: “And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him”.
The footnote to this verse in ASV reads: “The Greek word denotes an act of reverence, whether paid to a creature (as here), or to the Creator”. That is the foundation on which the ASV bible – and almost all other subsequent Bible versions since 1901, since they were all formed from the works of the occultists Dr Hort and Dr Westcott – is based: Jesus Christ was not divine; He was not the Creator: the contrary testimonies in John 1:3 that, “all things were made by him and without him was nothing made that was made,” and John 1:10 that “… the world was made by him”, Ephesians 3:9, Isaiah 9:6 and many other passages of the Bible, are not true!
Most other differences the reader is going to encounter in the NIV, MSG, NEV, NWT NLT etc flow from this grave error:
KJV Luk 24:52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
1952 RSV Lk 24:52 “And they worshipped him” was removed altogether.
Jesus the Son of God
KJV Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
RSV Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, a young woman shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Imman’u-el.
I hope you can spot the difference?
‘A virgin’ in one, ‘a young woman’ in the other. Is there anything special in a young woman giving birth to a boy as to require a prophet being sent to pronounce on it? The translators of the RSV could not stand the fact that the Inspirer of the Bible meant a virgin.
KJV Luk 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
RSV Luke 1:34 And Mary said to the angel, “How shall this be, since I have no husband?”
Well, no husband? Does every lady need a husband before she can be pregnant?
KJV Luk 2:43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
NIV Luke 2:43 After the Feast was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it.
KJV Luk 2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
NIV Luke 2:33 The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him.
The child’s Father, physically there? I hope the reader realizes that’s a subtle attack on the central plank of the Christian faith. Please note the exchanges between Mary and Jesus in verses 48 and 49 of the same passage:
KJV Luk 2:48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
And the response?
KJV Luk 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
The Messiah and the writers of the Bible never fudged on Who the Father of Christ is: not so the writers of the modern versions.
KJV John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
NEV and RSV have “his only son”; NIV: “his one and only son”. All of these versions did away with, “begotten”!
Christ the Creator
KJV John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Jehavah’s Witnesses’ NWT ends that verse with, “the word was a god”.
KJV Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
NWT substituted “all things” with, “all other things” throughout that verse.
KJV Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
NIV Eph 3:9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
Hope you notice the absence of, “by Jesus Christ,” conveniently removed in NIV!
KJV 1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
NIV 1 Tim 3:16 Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
Spot the difference. “God” was substituted with “He” in the NIV.
KJV Mic 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
NIV Mic 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”
In the NIV Bible Version, the Messiah had an origin!
KJV Dan 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
NIV, MSG Dan 3:25 He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”
“a son of the gods”? Who are those gods?
KJV Deu 32:8 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
The MSG Deu 32:8 When the High God gave the nations their stake, gave them their place on Earth, He put each of the peoples within boundaries under the care of divine guardians.
“Divine guardians” for “the children of Israel”? I hope you know “divine guardians” are euphemisms for demons?
KJV 1 Cor 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
NIV 1 Cor 15:47 The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven.
“The Lord” removed in NIV.
A small amount of statistics may be good here. The KJV New Testament has “Lord” in 711 places; the Message has “Lord” in 23 places: none of these, however, refers to Jesus Christ directly!
God laid down His Life
KJV 1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren
NIV 1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
Hope you can spot the difference! God, in KJV, laid down His Life for us. The NIV simply pretended as if this is not important!
Jesus the Morning Star
KJV Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
That is the Lord Jesus Christ calling Himself the Morning Star in Revelation 22:16.
You may need to check Isa 7:14 in NIV, MSG, NWT etc where Lucifer is referred to as the Morning Star!
Jesus the Judge
KJV Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ
NIV Rom 14:10 You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.
This requires care: the Bible’s position is no one honours the Father who does not honour the Son.
Jesus – omnipresent
KJV John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
NIV John 3:13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven — the Son of Man.
“Which is in heaven”, underlining the Lord Jesus Christ’s omnipresence, is removed.
Jesus, the Resurrection
KJV John 16:16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
NIV John 16:16 “In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.”
“because I go to the Father” is removed!
It’s ”falling away”, not “rebellion”
KJV 2 Thess 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
NIV 2 Thess 2:3
Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
Again, the antichrist will not rule by lawlessness: in fact he will rule by the strictest application and enforcement of laws the sinful world will ever see.
Concealing The Identity of The Person That came in the flesh
KJV 1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
NIV 1 John 4:3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
What does “acknowledge Jesus” mean? It’s part of the grand fudge.
The seal is really where: “in” or “on”?
KJV Rev 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
KJV Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
NIV Rev 7:2-3 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:
NIV Rev 7: 3 “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”
In general, we can say corruption of the Bible comes in 3 forms:
1 By changing of the reading
2 By omission of part of the verse
3 By omission of all of a verse altogether
Brief Analysis
KJV Hos 11:12 Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
NIV Hos 11:12 Ephraim has surrounded me with lies, the house of Israel with deceit. And Judah is unruly against God, even against the faithful Holy One.
How do you reconcile, “Judah yet ruleth with God” with, “Judah is unruly against God”?
KJV John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
As stated earlier, “begotten”, is removed from this supposedly important central-theme verse of the Bible by the NIV, NEV and RSV!
KJV 2Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
NEV 2 Tim 3:16 “Every inspired scripture has its use…”
KJV Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
NIV Matthew 18:3 And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Conversion is really not a mere ”change”, God is the only One who can covert a man. Salvation is never solely in the will-power of man.
KJV Mark 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
NIV Mark 10:24 The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!
Notice how , “them that trust in riches” was omitted!
KJV Deu 23:17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
NIV Deut 23:17 No Israelite man or woman is to become a shrine prostitute.
“Shrine prostitute”? What is that? What of Sheraton or Hilton Hotel’s prostitute? Apparently those ones are allowed.
KJV 1 Cor 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
NIV 1 Cor 6:9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders.
Homosexual offenders? i.e a thief/armed robber that is also a homosexual?
At this point I should introduce the readers to at least 2 of the translators who worked on the NIV: Dr Victoria Mollenkot and Dr Marten Woudstra. Both of these were confessed and open homosexuals. The latter was the chairman of the old testament translation sub-committee while the former was the consultant on sentence styling for the project. The translators of the NIV, NWT, MSG, RSV, NEV, NLT, NKJV, etc have agendas. The main thrust of their agenda is to confuse you on Christ and the antichrist. The idea that they embarked on these new translations so as to present the Bible in words commonly used in modern conversations is a ruse.
