‘Pastor’ Enoch Adeboye, The RCCG And The Azusa Street Deception

Messages From The Dead

Azusa Street Mission
Azusa Street

It is always a sad thing knowing someone is wrong in the most fundamental  issues of life: Who God the Father is, Who Jesus Christ is, Who the Holy Spirit is, who the Devil is and who he, himself, is. It makes you sadder knowing the deceived person is involved in large-scale deception of others in the name of the God he does not know, even where he appears sincere. On the spiritual plane, sincerity is not enough.

The Bible, containing the  clear Mind of God, has been written! We cannot say that loud enough to ‘Pastor’ Adeboye and other Word of Faith and Prosperity preachers and their deceived and deceiving followers.

Hell will be filled with millions of very sincere, but deceived,  people. They lived in total sincerity serving gods they formed in their own minds, demons and their own lusts on earth.  Being fully deceived by their own hearts, ( Jeremiah 17:9), they believed  they were serving the true God, Judges 18:20. Your duty is to make sure you are not among the millions that are deceived.

What About The Miracles?

Anything done outside the written words of God is done in the service of the devil. And, miracles, no matter how great, are not even factors we can consider  – except as items for great worry. The Bible has detailed stories of almost unbelievable miracles performed by people that served Satan. So the presence of the signs and wonders (fire, gold shower, cloud, open heavens, healing, whatever) that ‘pastor’ Adeboye and any other offspring of Azusa Street are alluding to to justify their ministries, even where those claimed miracles can be confirmed, offers no relief.

…And The Popularity?

We must  also disabuse our minds about the popularity or ‘success’ of the preacher: the whole world, for a starter, is in enmity against God, 1 John 5:19 , Gen 6:5-6Rom 3:10-12.  Therefore gathering a billion people (whose hearts the bible says are not right with God) to follow error is not that difficult.

Teachings MUST Be Noted: They Reveal The Heart Of The Teacher

What these preachers say with their mouths or state on paper or the internet, TV or radio are the issues we must deal with.

Where do those fake ‘tongues’ in the ‘Redeemed’ and other Pentecostal churches’ worship services come from? What is the source of those signs and wonders ‘pastor’ Kumuyi, ‘pastor’ David Ibiyeome and others advertise? Where do those annual prophecies ‘pastor’ Adeboye and others pronounce on their followers, most of which never come to pass, come from?

[sgmb id=”4″]

Where do they get the authority to issue commands and orders to God and other heavenly beings from? Where do the teachings on the duty to give money first to God – well, to them as God’s presumed representatives on earth – if you must be blessed financially, come from? Where did the teaching on the 100-day or 150-day fast to usher in a new year, come from? Let me repeat: anything done outside the written words of God is done in the service of the devil.

We promised readers at the inception of this website we would use the preachers’ words to look at their beliefs and teachings. We know that is the Bible’s way. “To the law and the testimonies”, Prophet Isaiah would say, “if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Isaiah 8:20.

Since what they are teaching cannot be supported by the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles, we have major problems in our hands. If they are teaching a return to some of the very special rituals of the Old Testament, even after Hebrews 1:1-3 made it clear God has substituted His Son for all the prophets and seers of the past, something serious is amiss. Every reader has a duty before God: you are to examine everything anyone is teaching you in the name of God so you may hold fast that which is true. (1 Thessalonians 5:21).

‘Pastor’ Enoch Adeboye (same for everyone in Pentecostalism and Charismaticism) affirms his teachings originate from Azusa Street, Los Angeles. We published a few months ago, these clear, definitive materials on the beginning, history, beliefs and personalities associated with Azusa Street. It was demonstrated very clearly that the instigators and controllers of Azusa Street were hypnotists, spiritist mediums, clairvoyants, diviners, wizards and black-magic men and women. In flagrant disobedience to clear commands of God in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, the ringing history of Azusa Street is that it was started by people who received open communications from the dead, in particular, demons posing as the dead.

To underscore ‘pastor’ Adeboye’s similar connections to teachings from demons and the dead, we quote from his December 5, 2017 Open Heavens daily devotional:

“Not only are your sin never hidden from God, they are equally not hidden from the saints in Heaven. Someone who was privileged to visit Heaven and return to earth said that there is a curtain in Heaven that anyone there can pull and the fellow will be able to monitor the activities of anybody here on earth. Another brother who also had that same privilege spoke of how saints in Heaven gather together in a place like a stadium, where they watch earthly saints facing crucial trials of their faith. When a saint being watched compromises, they shout in disappointment, just like when your favourite football team concedes a goal”.

In the highlighted quote above, two separate people, right from ‘heaven’, had messages for members of ‘pastor’ Adeboye’s ‘church’!

Contrast this with the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ in Luke 16:19-31 that God would never send anyone from among the dead to give any message about Him to the living. On this the Bible is very consistent: necromancers were forbidden in Deuteronomy 18:10-12Isaiah 8:19; neither would God permit Apostle Paul (or, Lazarus, John 11:39-45,  or Dorcas,  Acts 9:36-41) to reveal whatever he saw in his vision of the third heaven: 2 Cor 12:1-4

But, apparently God has changed

Or,  shall we consider the probability that pastor Adeboye might be receiving communications from someone other than the Author of the Bible?

The ‘heaven’ these two travelers  just returned from has no God and the Lord Jesus Christ in it. It is the ‘heaven’ made and maintained by fallen angels and demons. The communications ‘pastor’ Adeboye is retelling to his audience are from demons. The totality of the people hearing these statements, thinking they were receiving words from God were, in fact, being deceived by demons, 1 Kings 22:15-23.

What other rule of the Bible is ‘pastor’ Adeboye flouting here? The rule against adding to or deducting from the settled Bible, Rev 22:18-19.  The specs of ‘curtains’ and ‘stadium audiences’ in heaven are additions to the Bible designed to entertain hearers and reinforce a fake plausibility.

The Azusa Street crowd were people who formulated doctrines borrowed from the occults, and Hinduism in particular, and christened them as new “fire-baptised revivals in Christianity”. ‘Pastor’ Adeboye is a self-confessed son of that movement.  You may wish to download and listen to this  sermon preached by him in the celebration of the 100-year anniversary of this unmitigated evil masquerading as Christianity.

We quote the Late Dave Hunt in his book Occult Invasion in this link :

“Biblical prophets and Jesus Christ himself warned of a great spiritual delusion and occult seduction in a period of time called the “last days” just prior to Christ’s return. The warning concerned “false prophets” who would perform “great signs and wonders” that would be so convincing that “if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” Matthew 24:24

). Paul also warned of a false “signs and wonders” movement in the last days 2 Timothy 3:8

). Significantly, nowhere in the Bible do we find a good or legitimate “signs and wonders” movement prophesied for the last days, nor even a hint that it would be needed or helpful.

But in fact, we are in the middle of an accelerating occult seduction of both the secular world and the church. A growing “signs and wonders” movement in the Christian church is literally exploding and is involving not only charismatics and Pentecostals but even evangelicals who only a few years ago were opposed to what they would have characterized at that time as fraud. Today, in spite of the warnings by both Jesus and Paul, there is scarcely any thought that today’s signs and wonders might be part of the very spiritual deception that the Bible foretells”.

We should reiterate the last but one paragraph of Dave Hunt’s quote, above: “Significantly, nowhere in the Bible do we find a good or legitimate “signs and wonders” movement prophesied for the last days, nor even a hint that it would be needed or helpful”.

Since these are the major planks of these pastors’ ministries, we need to beware where they are leading their followers. Signs and wonders, very much unlike the lie people are being made to believe, are not the sole preserve of God. They are the main specialties of the Devil, particularly in places  such as Pentecostal, Charismatic, Word of Faith and Prosperity churches where people have turned their backs to the truths of God’s sovereignty and Christ’s eternity, majesty and holiness and man’s hopelessness without Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible.

Listen to the self-adulation by ‘Pastor’ Enoch Adeboye and his pandering to the vanities of men in the second video: “great men of God, great women of God!”.

Do you know any true servant of God in the Bible who promoted his prowess this much or allowed anyone to address him with such accolade? The writings of Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:24-33 are sobering: labours, rods, stripes, stonings, imprisonments, perils of waters, perils of the wilderness, perils from fake brethren, being lowered over the city wall in a basket.

Could it be no one ever reminded Paul how much of a “great man of God” he was?  Rather we have:

“For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.
Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.” 1 Cor 4:9-13

Can two religious leaders be more dissimilar?

Smile! The World Loves You!

The prince of the power of the air has not changed. He would not allow anyone speaking the truth peace. Paul’s woes are still the lots of anyone who correctly represents the Jesus of the Bible, even today, Luk 6:26.

‘Pastor’ Adeboye, the Pentecostals and the Azusa Street people are not it.

They are servants of another jesus.

And, by the way…Those 2017 New Year Prophecies?

Do you remember those prophecies of ‘pastor’ Enoch Adeboye at the beginning of the year 2017?

Listen to them, again, in the following post we published earlier in the year:

https://www.thetruechristianfaith.com/2017/07/01/the-problems-with-nigerian-christianity/

Can someone please ask the ‘pastor’ of the Redeemed Christian Church of God when these prophecies will start to occur? We only have eight days to the end of the year 2017.

What does this prove?

Going by the Bible, ‘pastor’ Adeboye (and same for virtually every so-called prophet you have in Pentecostal and charismatic churches and fellowships  today) is calling God’s name in vain: he is reporting God as saying something the Almighty never said.

They are all false prophets. They have no contact with the God of heaven: He does not know them.

They are receiving communications from a spiritual being. But that being is NOT God.

Pentecostalism and Charismaticism were started - and are being run - by occultists, hypnotists and necromancers.

Even as they falsely profess fidelity to the Bible, you hear them giving "messages from heaven", from the dead and from people who 'just returned' from among the dead! God in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 says those who do such are abominable to Him.

These are occult priests and shamans masquerading as 'men of God'.

Christ in Matthew 24:24 foretold of them.
